Dr. Nicole Markic was born and raised in Mississauga. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Honors Specialization in Kinesiology with distinction at Western University. She learned the fundamental human sciences and physiology from her undergrad program. With this knowledge and her early exposure to dentistry from her parents, Dr. Gordan and Dr. Susan, she developed a passion for the profession. Dr. Nicole earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. She enjoys many aspects of dentistry and had opportunities to be exposed to diverse and complex cases both in her formal training and her position in an Oral Surgery practice. However, helping others and ensuring patient- centered care are the foundation of her practice model. Additionally, she has various volunteer experiences, where she has provided care in underserved areas in both Ontario and Michigan. She received the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Achievement Award, as she was recognized for excelling in oral and maxillofacial radiology.
During Dr. Nicole’s spare time, she enjoys being active, attending music concerts, cooking and traveling with family and friends. It is also likely Dr. Nicole is watching a sporting event in her off time, as she has always loved sports.
